Hi people, i have recently joined the site but dont own a porsche tho my head has been turned. At the moment im driving a 98 z3 which i have made some modifications and still love. However its not a porsche and with the price of the boxster is very very cheap now in the uk, my mind is elsewhere and im trying to gather some info to weigh up the pros and cons if i do choose to get one.
Really i just want to know about things to look for, weather the servicing price wise is much different to bmw zed, running costs, reliability etc.
With the engine mid mounted, does it not make repairs a problem...?
I would be slightly hampered budget wise but id be looking at a 2.5l auto, 98 upwarards with around 80/10000 on the clock. These are averaging 6000 to 8000 and for that sort of money, i think its a great car
All comments are greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site. Have you test driven any Boxsters yet?

Hi sorry for the late reply....
no iv never driven a porsche but i took the plunge to go with the z3 a few years back and even today, i love the car but im getting near the end to finishing the car and iv been looking at the boxster for a while especially now they are very reasonable to buy.
Just want a few opinions on the servicing, genral price for parts and fitting etc.
also looking for something a little quicker than wot i have so the 2.5 is perfect.
boot space is a plus too.
