Hello all,
New to the sight and to Porsche. Have a few things going on with the car. Hopefully, someone can tell me what this one is about.

My son was driving the car yesterday, and says he heard a steady alarm sound from the engine compartment in 1st and 2nd gear. I do not have the on board computer, so it is not a speed alarm.

Any ideas are most apprecited! Thanks in advance.

I have never experienced anything like this. Have you heard the noise? Can you post a recording of it?

thanks for the reply Nadeem. Yes, i have heard it once before myself...again, it was at a low speed, and I'll add that it was within a few minutes of a cold start. I doubt that i could record the sound, being that it is so isolated and random.

When i heard it, it reminded me of the auditory sound I would hear when we approached overspeeding the flaps on the airplane. It is a relatively high-piched beeeeeee..sound. With a long "e" of course.
