is there a way to open the top manually since the motor quit and is holding it back from opening it? Thanks!

Disconect the cables from the unit mounted to the driverside of the vehicle in the trunk, then unlock the roof, pull up on the rear boot cover, drop the roof then set the boot back down. keep in mind the boot will not sit as tight as before without the tension from the motor.
