HI , just got a 98 boxster. the driver door glass is ok but the passerger door glass does not come down 1/2 inch when the door handle is lifted ????
when the top is opening, bith the window comes down about an inch but when the top closes , it's still in that position , will not wind up automatically .
is this the case?

I have the same problem with my 02 Boxster. Passenger window does not come down a 1/4 " when the handle is lifted. Did you find out what it was ? My mechanic says it's just a minor adjustment required. I haven't done it yet. Have you fixed the problem yet ?

It happened to my 01 Boxster. I tried to start the car with an almost flat battery and both windows shot up and down uncontrollably. The left one then refused to drop when the handle was pulled. Some sort of electric controller inside the door had been fried and had to be replaced to correct the problem. I had a used unit fitted by an independent but it still cost about £100.00. The flat battery problem recurred 2 or 3 times until I fitted a new one but the windows never played up again.
