Hey guys i've got a million dollar Question what does it mean when your top constantly keeps breaking the delrin ball joints off the rods that connect to the convertible transmission. Also the light that indicates when the top is in motion doesn't turn off even when it's all the way closed so it keeps wanting to force even more. I have already brought it to Porsche and they replaced the transmissions, and new rods. Those guys are clueless to what it may be they its been there 3 times and the last time it was there they replaced the rods again and a relay switch they said it might be the problem. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

I guess I forgot to mention that it is a 99 and the top has been switched to glass

When you move it manually, does it stick anywhere? Sounds like a lack of lubrication to me. I would look at any lubrication points first to see if that helps. Thanks!
