I've just bought a 1998 boxster 2.5 which seemed great on the test drive. I bought the car sunday afternoon , and i've just been out and the rear brakes are making a right noise. Ive contacted the guy who i bought if off and he reckons the handbrake had been left on for about three weeks and this has happened before and it sorted itself after a couple of days ??? i paid over 6k and wondered if i had any rights if anyone knows ?? He told me had done some trading in the past, i think he shafted me to be honest

You paid $6k for the car ? Sound like a good deal. Take the car to a mechanic have them evaluate the brakes. Have him note how long it's been that way. You can then contact the seller and show him the estimate, See, maybe they will pay or give you part of the money towards the repairs. But I'm pretty certain that there's not much more you can do, other than suing him. Good luck.
