I read in a recent magazine that there's a possibility of a new "base" Boxster. It would have a the 2.0T motor. Likely the one producing 265hp in the Audi TTS I believe. I know many purists may not like this option. But that motor will easily make 300 hp and 300 ft lbs with a simple flash. Plus it may make the car lighter and less expense. Couple that to the dual clutch tranny and my wife could drive it too.
My current street car in an RX-8 that I also HPDE, but I'm considering making that a full track car in the next 1-2 years and moving into a Boxster or Cayman for the street.
