Car is in Oregon(Portland area)

Sadly I have to post this for my Dad. We (he) bought the car in 2001 brand new from Michael Stead Porsche in Walnut Creek, CA. We tracked every dealer's inventory across America and even flew to a couple before we finally found the car we wanted. We went to Walnut Creek, bought the car, and they shipped it to our home in Wilsonville, OR. The car was babied, always garaged and fully loaded. My Dad was very particular with the car and never let any of us (his kids) take it out unsupervised or anything. So long story short, he was driving it a couple of months ago and it just started smoking a lot. He took it to Sunset Porsche in Beaverton, Oregon to see the options and they said he would need to have them rip it apart, diagnose a problem and potentially replace the motor. We are still not sure what is wrong with the motor.
