Hi I'm Paul 42 years old living in the Netherlands.

I'm joining this forum to get some more knowledge about the Boxster 986.
I'm now driving a MX-5 and want some more horsepower. And while seeking for a 1.8 MX-5 to upgrade with a compressor i saw that the prices for a Boxster with 150.000 Km on it is about the same as the MX-5 with rebuild costs. And more power that the converted MX-5. Since i promissed myself 4 months ago that there will be a Porsche in our carpark i just going to start my search a little bit earlier.

I hope you will give me some usefull tips in what to look for in a 986 when buying and caring for.
