Former Jaguar XKE and Datsun 280Z owner. One kid out of college. Thinking about a Boxster really like the Cayman but too much money. What should I expect reliability, long term cost. My XKE was in the shop every 6 months my 280z had rust prolems.

Is a Boxster a real Porsche. How much of it is a 911. I know ther is parts sharing.

Also thinking about a BMW Z4. I like the looks of the Boxster.

Can I get a hard top for the winter?
