I have a 1999 Porsche Boxster 2.5, which has done around 86K miles.

Over the last few thousand miles a noise has begun to appear from the back right hand corner more and more often whenever I turn right. I asked my mechanic to investigate and they told me there was no issue and charged me a lot to test drive the car etc. This has progressively got worse and worse, but I’m trying to find out an idea of what it might be? My thoughts are possibly a wheel bearing the back right hand wheel, or possibly something in the transmission. But if I straighten up or swerve left it stops.

Please can anyone let me know if they have any ideas? I am also looking to find another mechanic. I live in Louisville Kentucky and had been taking it to Harrod’s Creek Autos, but after their failure to ever hear the noise I am not going back.
