I have the chance to get a 99 Boxter with 56k miles. The asking price is about 12k. I am not sure if this is a good deal but it seems to be fair. Is there anything I should look for or look out for when looking at this car.

For $12k seems like a good deal, but remember it's a 99 keep a few bucks aside for possible repairs.

56k is not bad at all, i think the only real worry any of us have is oil leaking from the engine. i think if you take it for a test drive, park it and talk to the owner for a while... find out where he parks it & look for any cleaned up oil marks... or have a mechaninc check it out... all in all, $12K for a 99 seems reasonable. By the way - I drive a 99 & love it... no problems
