I sometimes get a "thump" when changing gears but it only seems to happen at very slow speeds. I just got my 04 Boxster about a week ago and noticed it the other day after having it out in the rain for the first time. I think this was also the first time I had it on the highway in traffic though and this wa when I noticed it. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

If you shift at really low RPMs, you will generally get a thump. Try to match up the revs a little better and see if you get the same problem. Thanks!

Have your front motor mount inspected. If the rubber is broken, you will get the same condition. This is a very common failure.
