I need help from the pros so I wanted to join. I have a 97 Boxster and the horn sounds when I use the remote but when I try and use the horn by pressing on the steering wheel nothing happens.

Here is what I did. I read the manual and found that location B 3 holds the fuse to the horn so I removed the panel and there was no fuse in B 3. When I put a fuse into B 3 the horn sounds constantly. Could there be a short in the steering wheel mechanism or do I need to disconnect the battery then replace the fuse then reconnect the battery cable?

I would bank on a short in the steering wheel. I have heard about the same problem on other boxsters. I think there is a fix if you search this site for horn. Check it out.
