Roof Dead and sun is shining in Ireland

Guys, I have searched the forum to see if this is answered already but cannot find. I have a 01 Boxster S and have had it parked in garage for 4/6 weeks. I have started it regularly to keep battery fresh. Today I took it out, sun shining etc. and bloody roof was completely dead. The release handle works and opens windows but when I press button to take top down nothing happens. Can anyone advise any checks I could do. I have already checked fuses (row b fuse 6) and it is ok. Any help of suggestions welcome. J

Emergency brake handle up and / or foot on brake? Car in neutral or park? Mine has to have the E brake on.

It can be as simple as the switch that tells the roof mechanism the E brake is on has broke. I would just take it to any Porsche or Euro car repair and have them give you a quote to fix it, then do it yourself if possible. According to my books, the top can be very difficult to work on. Good luck!
