Just got a 2010 Boxster and when you lock the car there is no beep to signify an alarm is on. Any idea if an alarm is on the car and I should be looking for something else?
Mine occasionally honks. Not sure about that. It's all about how many times the lights flash. Put your alarm on (lock doors with remote) then reach in and try to touch the stereo or open a door from the inside.

there is a red light (like on a coffee pot) on the dash - or radio - that tells you when the system is armed. can't remember exactly where. maybe on left side...
