boxster s 2012 - wrong steering wheel

recently bought a red boxster s 2012 model.

some how i missed the option of the multi function steering wheel, but ticked almost every other item. without this option answering a phone or changing volume on the radio is painful.

does anyone know if on this model it can be retro fitted? and the cost?

matt

A quick call to your local Porsche dealer would give you the steering wheel cost and options, and if it simply plugs into the electronics. Hopefully the car has the wiring for those options and the steering wheel is just a plug in devise. As for mounting, it's usually a single nut & a puller, or it bolts onto a mounting plate. The Bently manual for my '04 has detailed instructions as does the Pelican manual but I don't know if anything changed for cars as new as yours.

Nice car!!

Interestingly, I dislike the multifunction wheels I've had on my cars. Don't use em. Can't even say if my current wheel is multifunction...
