Boxter will not take gas, acts full??
I had an experience in CA after I bought my Boxster that was really odd.
In LA, I was able to fill the car, no problem. When I got to the Mojave desert and stopped for gas, I could not add gas to the car. Every time I squeezed the handle, it immediately clicked off. It took seriously 30 min to get the tank full, filling in super-tiny amounts at a time.
I read on several internet forums that pulling a certain fuse, or the fuel tank's flappers (check valve so gas does not come back out) get blocked when the tubes slip into the tank too far, and none of these seemed to apply to me.
It turned out to be the gas pump. The reclamation type (sp?) pumps don't like the super-tight bends of the Boxster fill tube, and the fumes trigger the pump handle to shut off. You may need to get gas somewhere else or fill a gas can then pour that into the car.
If this happens to you, you will know it!
