I am just starting learning about car performances but is this how company usually raise car performances, under the 100 km or 60mph mark? In this example from 0 to 60mph they cut 2 secs but on the 1\4 mile you still have only 2secs at the end. This would mean over 60 mph it would be similar performances. Im I wrong?
This can be accomplished by gearing, tuning and engineering.
And, yes, your assumption is flawed.
One car could be faster 60-80 or 80-100 (both of which are measured) and slower in the other catagory, for example.
This kind of testing in the motorcycle industry is known as "high speed roll-ons."
Hope this helps
